Portfolio Review

11/20/11

Overall I thought that portfolio day was a success. I was only able to talk to two schools, which were the School of Visual Arts in New York and Pratt. I received good feedback from both schools. The admissions person for The School of Visual Arts told me that I should contact him during February for help with obtaining scholarships. The man from Pratt told me that my work was interesting and that I had a great portfolio but that he wanted to see more work from observation. He told me that if I attended Pratt that I would be ding a lot of work from observation, which I don’t have a problem with. I was a little bummed out because I didn’t have a chance to get reviewed by the School Museum of Fine Arts, though I suppose it’s fine because I got a review when they came to visit.

My “Bottletars” are very important to me. They represent me and the manifestation of the next generation on the Mellon family tree. You see I have created two sons by myself. I am like Dr. Frankenstein. They are just mere infants now they will soon become a pair well behaved boys, then into teenage heart throbs, and then into manhood. They will take the baton of the Mellon legacy and run a mile with it.

New Images

Justin,

Your Game Language Diptych and your abstractions evoke a major Du-Hude yo! I can’t wait to see your sketchbook work posted.

100 Images

Justin,

Your first 100 images are extremely boss! Keep up the good work…

I put your prompt papers where they belong for you. They go under Pages in the one titled Writing. We aren’t putting anything under Posts yet. I know the difference between Pages and Posts can be confusing, but you’ll learn.

You are missing the Stereotypical Identity prompt and the 2 Community Connections assignments. Please get those done so you won’t have zeroes. If you need an on-line gallery to use for community connections the Bill Lowe Gallery has many artists to view.

Howdy, Yo!

This will be one happening site!
